Jacki Kelly is a passionate educator and non-profit leader committed to closing the opportunity gap. She is the Executive Director of The Writing Revolution, a national non-profit organization which partners with schools to support the critical thinking, writing, reading, and confidence of students through an evidence-based, interdisciplinary, professional development model. Jacki has previously led development and communications efforts at Harlem Educational Activities Fund, Young Women’s Leadership Network, READ Alliance, Citizen Schools New Jersey, and the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition.
After a life changing experience as a core volunteer at the Prison Book Program in Boston, Jacki became deeply committed to empowering people who have been involved in the prison system through education. In addition to serving on the board of CCF, she is also a board member and development committee chair at the Petey Greene Program, a national non-profit that recruits college students to tutor people in prison. She holds a BS in Journalism from Northeastern University with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in History and a MA in Inclusive Education from Teachers College Columbia University. Jacki is married with four children and lives in Freehold, New Jersey.
