What’s the story behind our theme?

This year’s theme, Celebrating Hope, is honoring the late Hope Sanders, a game-changer and heavily involved fellow who earned a bachelor's and master's degree serving as salutatorian in 2023 and Valedictorian in 2022, who suddenly passed away in 2023. Her advocacy for education and a dedication to mentorship within our community exemplified the transformative power of support and belief in those formerly incarcerated.

Hope is a reminder for all of us to celebrate life and work toward change both inward and outward to achieve your wildest dreams. For our class of 2024, they’ve overcome so much to reach this very moment of completion and now, the world is theirs.

Support our Student Loan Debt Relief Fund!

Your contribution could be the difference between a fellow struggling with debt and one who can fully focus on their future!

Combined, our mighty 12 carry $260,000 in student loan debt, and we've learned that this debt is keeping some of our fellows from reaching the realms of possibility we know they're capable of achieving.

That's why we're raising money to reduce their debt and help them overcome one more barrier to the next phase of their journeys.
